It's good again!
I'm so happy. I was so down on Shakugan no Shana II way back in November, but since about episode 8 or so the series has done a complete turnaround.
Now it's good again.
Really, really good.
Like really really really good.
Mostly because the writers finally remembered that Shana and Yoshida had personalities and started writing them that way. Wilhelmina finally stopped being a bizarro pod-person version of Wilhelmina, too. And Margery finally started kicking ass and taking names like she's supposed to (with the added bonus of actual character development on her part, too).
I don't want to say more because it would be spoiler-y, but yeah. Shakugan no Shana II is REALLY REALLY GOOD now. It's my favorite TV show of the current season. Yes, even better than Minami-ke. And there's very little that's better than Minami-ke.

Oh snap spoiler alert
I'm really loving where the story is going. Waiting for the next episode is making me crazy.
Re: Oh snap spoiler alert
Me too. Each new episode has seriously become the highlight of my week.
And yes, Yuji is just incredibly awesome right now. And I love the way that Shana and Yoshida are developing too. Plus it warmed my little femmeslasher heart when Shana held Yoshida's hand and started addressing her as "Kazumi."
