Seven quirks/habits meme

1. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
2. Tag seven people to do the same.
3. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag whoever wants to do it.
1. I looooove the way that my toenails feel after I've just clipped and filed them down to the quick. Same with my fingernails, but less so. I can't stand the feeling of long nails on either my fingers or toes, it grosses me out.
2. I only drift off to sleep if I'm thinking about a scene from a story that I'm writing, whether on paper or just in my head. This has been true for literally as far back as I can remember.
3. I tell people that my first fictional childhood crush was Han Solo. That's not true. It was actually Doug Ramsey. And yes, that explains a lot.
4. Okay, maybe not even Doug. It was probably Buddy Blue from Rainbow Bright.
5. I am never bored. Never. I am so good at entertaining myself with my own fantasies, that I cannot remember a moment when I've ever been bored in real life. The closest I ever came was during the JET Mid-Year Conference opening speech last year, which lasted for three hours and was basically just a guy reading some Ministry of Education spiel that he'd printed off a website. My co-workers complained about literally being bored to tears. I, on the other hand, entertained myself with elaborate fantasies about the Keio Plaza Hotel (our conference center) being attacked by Mothra.
6. On the other hand, this ability to entertain myself with my own thoughts is constantly thwarting my attempts to, you know, sit down and study kanji for the looming JLPT test.
7. When I'm feeling depressed, I curl up and take a nap. And I suspect that I picked up this habit from Anita.

Whoa, I thought I was the only sad sap who did that! Not like you're a sad sap or anything, but you get the idea, right? It may sound weird for a wannabe science major to do something like that (that what my mom tells me, at least), but I suppose everyone has their quirks...
I'll get around doing the meme eventually. It's hard to do stuff when you have backlogged lab reports and the like. D:
