Two links of interest.

Kathryn Hemmann writes about Bunny Drop, realism, "literature," and feminism. Great essay but I think that she gives waaaaaaaaay to much leeway to Bunny Drop's ending (which, BTW, is NOT spoiled in the essay, in case you're concerned about that sort of thing).

2011 comic book movies reviews vs. revenues. Lose your faith in humanity in one handy infographic.

That's a good essay, although I kind of have trouble taking seriously her claims that Bunny Drop is thoughtful realistic literature when I know how it ends. Granted I haven't read the manga, but if you're going to write a down-to-earth realistic story about adoptive child-rearing, doesn't it kind of torpedo all of the realism and depth when your ending is... that?

And lol Transformers movies. I have long since stopped trying to comprehend why those pieces of crap make so much money. Wtf humanity.
