A much belated Dear Yuletide Author letter
Hello, mysterious Yuletide author!
I have to admit that I didn't write a letter until now because, well, I don't feel like I have anything to say that I haven't already said in my request. But some more experienced Yuletiders have convinced me that I shoud at least write something, even if the only thing that I have to say is "I'd be happy with anything." For the fandoms that I asked for, I am an extremely nonpicky person. You could write two thousand words of Character X juggling bowling pins while riding on a unicycle, and I would love it. I read gen, het, slash, whatever. I have virtually no squicks in porn, save for parent/child incest and snuff.
For any of my requested fandoms, I'd be just as happy with a good adventure/mystery fic as I would be with romance or porn, or a character study, or a cracktastic comedy, or any type of fic in between. So really, no limits.
Now, fandom-specific stuff...
Shakugan no Shana
I said in my signup that I love every single character in this series, and that's true. Although Shana is unabashedly my favorite. Margery Daw ranks a close second, and then Yuuji/Yoshida/Alastor/Marchosias/Eita/Keisaku/Wilhelmina tied for third. (I told you I liked everybody!) I'd ship anybody and anything in this series, because pretty much any ship has some basis in canon. I like the Shana/Yoshida/Yuuji love triangle dynamic, and the Eita/Keisaku/Margery/Ogata/WTF-is-this-yaoi-or-is-it-not? dynamic, too.
The New Mutants (1983)
Ah, another series where I love all of the main characters. (Boy, this isn't very helpful, is it?) Doug/Rahne makes me ache in a good way, though. I also love Warlock, and I don't think that his comic potential was explored nearly enough in the series. Some of my favorite parts of the original comic involved Magneto's interactions with the students (particularly his LOLtastic flailings around Warlock), so I think it would be fun to read more fic about Magneto struggling in his role as their teacher, too. But really, I love all of the characters. Sam. DANI. Amara, Berto, Ilyana, X'ian... I think they're all fascinating, and they all have so much fanfic potential. I'd be happy to read about any of them. Oh yeah, and the usual... Gen, het, slash, whatever is fine. I'd ship anybody with anybody. I think that Warlock would be the most challenging to write in a sex scene, though. Hats off to you if you want to go there. ;)

I'm going to be unhelpful again and say: Anything. Anybody, anything. (The usual parent/child incest squick applies, though.) There's one particular pairing that I already specified in my author request that I love in an obscene way, but if you don't want to write that, that's okay. I would be ridiculously happy with anything else. In fact, I'd love to see what you could come up with on your own. Hey, we're dealing with a fandom where pretty much every single character is a) described as incredibly hot and b) canonically polyamorous, so go to town! In fact, I think that this fandom was made for polyfic. Although it's not just romance fics (or pr0n) that would make me happy. I'd take a good gen fic any day, too. Yudhisthira angsting, Arjuna beating up gandharvas, anything. Heck, if you wanted to go the cracktastic route and write about Bhima fighting dinosaurs with machine guns who are riding flaming motorcyles, that would be fairly awesome, too.
In sum: Go to town. I'm not hard to please.
