Stephen King Superteam

Yes, that would be awesome. Ridiculously awesome.
And once that idea was planted in my head, naturally, being the Kingphile that I am, my brain took it and ran with it. Not so much a team in the style of the X-Men or the Avengers, mind you, but something more in line with the Exiles. To me, the idea of an Exiles-like superteam makes perfect sense in the King multiverse. After all, that was kind of the point of the Dark Tower books: A small band of unlikely heroes on an epic quest across alternative universes, trying to preserve the balance between worlds and prevent the multiverse from tearing itself apart in a chaotic storm of catastrophic paradoxes. So I can very easily imagine a scenario whereThe Timebroker The Turtle plucks various King characters out of their own worlds (thereby possibly rescuing them from the horrible fates that King's characters often meet), and conscripts them to join a team of dimension-hopping superheroes, charged with repairing the damage to various realities that the Crimson King and his crew like to inflict.
So if I could make up a superteam like that, who would I put on it?
Norris Ridgewick (many books)
He's held his own against the supernatural plenty of times. He's a good sheriff, but he'd make an even better Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. A soft-spoken country bumpkin-esque Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., that is.
Dinky Earnshaw ("Everything's Eventual" and The Dark Tower)
He's a great character and his super powers are wicked awesome. I'd love to see him back in action. He has all the right motivations to be a do-good superhero, too.
Jake Chambers (Dark Tower series)
He was always the Robin to Roland's Batman. Now he can just be Robin.
Oy (Dark Tower series)
A cute animal mascot that's actually AWESOME instead of annoying. Who knew.
Ralph Roberts and Lois Chasse (Insomnia)
Ridiculously fantastic battery of superpowers.
Cuthbert Allgood (Dark Tower series)
He's awesome, he's an accomplished fighter, and he talks to a skull that he carries around. Screw all of the other ka-tet characters. The only one whom I ever really liked was Cuthbert. Cuthbert FUCK YEAH.
Mrs. Todd ("Mrs. Todd's Shortcut")
The ability to travel between worlds is a must in the King multiverse. Also, the team desperately needs an adventure-loving daredevil crazylady.
Dr. Watson ("The Doctor's Case")
He's canon! He's canon!
Patrick Danville (Insomnia and The Dark Tower)
His powers are just like the Scarlet Witch, basically. Also, the trauma and angst. But really, I would like to see him in another story just because I'm dying to find out what happened to him - and to his mother.
Cynthia Smith (Desperation, The Regulators, and Rose Madder)
Just for the awesome.
Sam Peebles ("The Library Policeman")
He defeated unspeakable evil armed only with freakin' licorice. I think he's earned his place on the team.
Trisha McFarland (The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon)
Likewise, except that it was a Walkman, not licorice.
Bobbi Anderson (The Tommyknockers)
Super powers: Tentacles, magic typewriter, and mind control. Now if only she could be convinced to use them for good, not evil.
The chattery teeth ("The Chattery Teeth")
For once, a horrifying animated object that's actually on the side of good.
The Turtle
Mystical behind-the-scenes adviser.
And finally, forming the Magical Negro Corps we have: Dick Halloran (The Shining), John Coffey (The Green Mile), and Abagail Freemantle (The Stand). They basically hang out on the sidelines and solve white people's problems for them.
Okay, is it just me or would a comic starring Johnny Smith, Carrie White, the kid from the Shining, and Drew Barrymore's character from Firestarter as a League of Extraordinary Gentleman by way of X-Men style superteam be awesome?
