This week's Tsubasa - Chapter 189
Are you ready for some holy shit?!?!
This is going to be a quick and not-detailed summary, since I read the chapter on my way to work and it's not in front of me right now, so I'm writing from memory here. I might replace this with a more detailed summary later, we'll see. Anyway.
This whole chapter is a flashback. We start with chibi!Syaoran, who arrives at Yuuko's store. Syaoran is all like, "Hi Dimension Witch, my name is Li Syaoran." And Yuuko's all like, "Yeah, I know. You have the same name as your father. Even though that's not your true name. Good thing you didn't tell me your true name, it looks like your father taught you well. I know your father by the way.Also, I'm like totally BFF4evah with your mother Sakura. Also I totally know your mother Sakura like really super well even though I've never met her." (Edited where my memory was faulty.)
Anyway, WHOA!!!!
So chibi!Syaoran came to the store because his father told him to. And he has a wish. But he doesn't want Yuuko to grant his wish. "If I have a wish, then I want to fulfill it using my own power!"
But Yuuko convinces him that he needs her help. Also, his mother already paid the price for his wish.
The price is the wand that Cardcaptor Sakura used. So that's why it's in Yuuko's store. (Edit: No, actually, it's not the same wand that was shown in xxxHolic chapter 02. Huh.)
Anyway, WHOA!!!!
It turns out that Syaoran needs to meet the "person who is waiting for him" that his mother Sakura saw in a dream. ("By the way, your mother Sakura can see the future in her dreams," Yuuko explains helpfully.) Only the person "waiting" for Syaoran is in another dimension (whoops!) so he needs Yuuko's help to get there.
Yuuko sends chibi!Syaoran to another dimension to meet his fated person.
Syaoran ends up inside the ruins in Clow Country, and chibi!Sakura is there looking totally adorable.
Sakura turns to him. "Who are you?" she asks.
The chapter ends.
And yeah, wow, HOLY SHIT.
Did they just reveal what I think they revealed?!?!
Also, continuity, hello? Didn't Yuuko previously mention in xxxHolic that 616!Sakura and 616!Syaoran were in high school and dating? How could they have a seven-year-old child? Also, does nobody else find it creepy that Sakura and Syaoran would have a son that looks just like Syaoran and that they also name Li Syaoran (even if that's not his "true" name), and that they would send him off to an alternative dimension so that he can hook up with an AU version of his mother?!
I mean, WOW.
