Mini-Goddess XIV

Part two of Kosuke Fujishima's new Mini-Goddess strip, which is being published on the spine of montly issues of Afternoon. In case you missed any of the previous panels, you can find them all linked here.

TOP: Surprising but appropriate! Bell-mama's advice.
Belldandy: Well, in that case, why don't you try making friends with them?
CAPTION: CONTINUED ON THE JUNE ISSUE!

I can think of two possible punchlines here. One is basically that old Tiny Toons cartoon that ends with the vegetables screaming "Noooooooo, don't eat us! We loooooooove you!"

The other punchline is really, really dirty. Belldandy says "Nakayoku shitemitara," which is the sort of deliciously vague Japanese that could be translated as try making friends with them, or try being more friendly with them, or try getting to know them more intimately *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*.

Not like Belldandy would ever corrupt an innocent child, or anything.

Second, there's been more artwork from the upcoming R2 DVD boxset posted. I posted the scans here (scroll to the bottom) so I'm not going to repeat them in this post. But still, the new Hidenori Matsubara panels look... kind of epic. I mean, Tamiya, Ohtaki, Senbei, and the Monk posing together?! EPIC.

Mara and Lind posing together with mortal girls are epic as well, I think. Thanks for the scan!

Is there a new chapter of manga there?

There is indeed a new chapter.

Confession: I skimmed through it without actually reading it because it made my eyes glaze over.

20 pages of pointless running around again?

Why do we still try reading it? Oh well...
