I guess this must be one of those strips that doesn't end in a punchline, but that segues into the following strip instead. Maybe this is meant to be an eight-parter instead of a four-parter? Meh.

Meanwhile... In this week's chapter, Welsper shows up, says three words to Chrono, and she promptly passes out from shock.

Wow. Chrono is really, really, really dumb.

It's been a long time since a character this dumb has shown up in the manga. I mean, we're talking Tamiya-levels of sheer breathtaking stupidity. And it's not particularly cute or funny, either. Chrono's stupidity is just annoying. At least Tamiya's stupidity manifested itself in reliably comic ways. Chrono is just blargh stupid annoying dumb. I hope this storyline wraps up soon.

This is the main reason why the character Royal in my own comic has flashes of unexpected brilliance from time to time, because I find consistent stupidity unbearably irritating.

Oh god, me too. I mean, "the stupid character" is a fairly reliable comic device, but it's just grating for them to be stupid all the time without rest.

I'm rather fond of the idiot savant, though. Like Mihoshi from Tenchi Muyo. She seems dumb as a brick, but every now and then she says or does something BRILLIANT, and suddenly it's not too unbelievable that she continues to be employed by the Galaxy Police.

My favorite idiot savant of all time is Gourry from The Slayers. He is SERIOUSLY STUPID, but sometimes he says or does something so ingenious even Lina is speechless. :D

I think ur ppl are gonna be annoyed at AMG in general until the writing picks up. SO I'm not surprised you're not loving this arc so far.
