Yeah, I didn't really take it as an "all better now!" ending, but more of a "they'll be faithful even if they only meet every 10 years" kinda thing. Which, when you think about it, sucks for the kid, who will only see his dad for one day when he's 10 and one day when he's 20 and so on....
