What would be a good term for a "pimp post" that doesn't actually use the word "pimp"?

Is there an alternative term or two already out there?

I know I could always default to saying "rec post," but I'm wondering if fandom hasn't come up with something more colorful/interesting already.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I see both 'pimp post' and 'rec post' being used. Being (sorta) PC I use ec post.

Rec, plug, promo... I want to say there's a term that has to do with pageantry and showing off, but I'm drawing a blank. Spotlight? Hmm, I want to say it evokes images of glittery awesome specialness. Hmm.

To me I'd say "hype post" is probably the best alternative to "pimp post" if you wanna be PC.

But that's my opinion. I've heard "plug" used a lot, but I thought that was supposed to refer to something you made yourself, hence "shameless plug", so... yeah. I'd go with hype.
