Fate/zero = epic prequel to Fate/Stay Night. It has Alexander The Great and Blackbeard and Ilya's parents and all sorts of awesome stuff.

Nah. But you should definitely at least read the Fate/Stay Night game routes on Wikipedia or something before you watch Fate/Zero.
