I disagree with you on the alcohol, but yeah, I don't have much love for stupidity either.

Stupidity is a bad thing. Alcohol is a bad thing if mixed with stupidity. A sizable portion of reality TV seems to make a living off this, for example (although I suspect they think it's a good thing as long as the money rolls in!)
