Haruhi high-res scans, September Batch 01

Yyyyyyeah... Only two weeks late with these. Sorry! Anyway, in this batch of scans, we have a good balance of the awesometastic (Aya Hirano's dog OMG CUTEST DOG IN THE UNIVERSE) and the sucktastic (seriously, WTF Japan?!?!).




This issue of Comp Heroines included a fantastic "cosplay interview" with Minoru Shiraishi and Hiromi Konno. Although not strictly Haruhi-related, I included it in the scans pack because a) Minoru Shiraishi did voice Taniguchi and b) Minoru Shiraishi is awesome and c) Minoru Shiraishi is wearing a pink gothiloli dress. LOLs all around.

I also included a scan of the Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou DVD cover (provided by the REAL Asahina Mikuru, no less), just because so far I've made a habit of grouping all Gekisou-related artwork together. For those of you who would like larger and clearer scans of the cover artwork, you can find some here.

This issue saw the launch of a new parody manga, Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu. The series is a combination of 4-koma strips and short parody doujinshi stories. I didn't scan the whole thing, because it was just too darn long, but I included the opening few color pages in the scans pack.









I remember reading a comment on an sos_brigade post a long time ago, about how creepy it was to see Kyon's sister in a bunny suit. I remember a bunch of us commenting to agree. And there's also this comment on my last scans post.

Well guess what?

Clearly, the gods hate us. Or somebody Up There has a sadistic sense of irony. Haruhi, would that be you? Say it ain't so, Haruhi. Say it ain't so.
