Wow.
I just...

Sherlock Holmes
Mind you, this is coming from a person who was a MASSIVE SH fan when as a teenager. And by MASSIVE I mean obsessed to a completely unreasonable degree. However, I might still see the film just for the sheer laughable badness factor.
Re: Sherlock Holmes
Seriously, I wasn't that big fan of SH books myself, but I read most of them (and re-read some not so long ago). I was unable to understand what was going on in that trailer as well. And the final choice of scenes was just hilarious.
Holmes kisses a girl.
Watson shouts: "Hoooooolmes!!!" (which sounded like "Nooooo!")

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that! (Sorry, was too busy headdesking.)
Re: Sherlock Holmes
Personally, though, I have a much higher tolerance for so-bad-it's-good stuff, when said stuff does not involve pissing all over the legacy of something that's actually good.

I am suddenly, irrationally excited to see it, just because it will just be so out there.

Wake me when my Jeremy Brett box set arrives.

I've had a bit of an issue with occult plots ever since Indiana Jones and we're-so-desperate-to-cash-in-on-a-sequel-that-we'll-resort-to-magical-alien-skulls. I found it a huge disappointment compared to the earlier movies (except for Temple of Doom, of course... I wonder why they couldn't have found a plot somewhat similar to Raiders of the Lost Ark or The Last Crusade).
That being said, I'm still probably going to go see it, if only for that "Madam... beneath this pillow lies the key to my release" moment. *grin*

Holmes for the Xbox generation I suppose--Doyle is rolling in his grave.
