Monthly Soul Eater spam Part the First: Magazine scans and anime spoilers!
Okay. We might as well make this a monthly deal. First, here's this month's haul of scans and spoilers from the Big Three anime magazines. Same drill as usual, click the small versions for high-res scans, etc.

Okay, so, SPOILER TIME! The following spoilers are taken from Newtype. For the record, Animage and Animedia also printed spoilers, but they were pretty much... the same. So here we go. The next three episodes look like this:
37. The Great Detective's First Case! Kid Reveals Shibusen's Secrets? (12/15)
"After the battle for the Brew, Maka asks Shinigami-sama about her new Demon Hunter move. She learns about the 'hidden demon' wavelength that her own mother used in battle. At the same time, Kid can no longer stay silent with his questions about his father, who ordered the collection of demon tools without giving any explanation. 'What exactly is he planning?' and 'What IS his relationship with Eibon?' Stewing in his angst, he begins his own peculiar investigation."
This'll be interesting, as what we've seen of Kid's Plucky Boy Detective Skills so far has been... less than encouraging. (*cough*) Seriously. His only investigate methods seem to ask Daddy, then bumblefuck around in the library, and when neither of those methods work, I guess then he'll resort to glare at Stein and maybe yell at him a lot. Which looks to be what happens next week.
And also WHOO-YEAH MAKA'S MOM!! I want to know more about her.
38. Asura's Temptation! Irritation that even the Big Guy can't suppress? (12/22)
"Sent by Internal Investigations, BJ arrives at Shibusen. He has been secretly working on a project that involves the use of demon tools, at Shinigami-sama's request. At the same time, Black Star is stewing over the losing streak that he's had since the battle against the kishin. 'If I can surpass God, then why the hell am I losing all the time?' Caught up in his own thoughts, he does something unexpected."
Apocalyptic and vaguely homoerotic fist fight with Kid!!! Apocalyptic and vaguely homoerotic fist fight with Kid!!! Oh PLEASE let this be the apocalyptic and vaguely homoerotic fist fight with Kid...
Also, it looks as though BJ's role will be changed. He's probably still doomed, though.
There is no new episode on 12/29. Next up is...
39. Crona, Escapee. But please show me your smile...? (1/5)
"The witch Arachne finally makes contact with the kishin, Asura. She asks him to join her in order to defeat Shinigami-sama. At the same time, back at Shibusen, Crona's guilt deepens as Maka and her friends continue to treat hir with nothing but kindness. Crona has been following Medusa's orders and acting as a spy all along. However, things come to a head when Crona can no longer stand being torn between hir mother and hir friends."
Ha! Asura comes back into the story. I knew it!
So like, does attempting to partner with Asura strike anybody else as an incredibly stupid thing to do? It almost seems like waaaaay too risky of a move for Arachne's character to be making. But, meh, maybe she has something up her sleeve.
And that's it for spoilers. GanGan drops tomorrow, though... So we can look forward to much, much more!

I think that all this "symmetry" thing is affecting me: every single time that I have maths and my teacher says something about "symmetry" I have to try so hard to not to laugh xDDUUAbout the 37 episode, I'm totally agree: Kid is always asking his father about everything and he always receives the same answers >_> I hope that Stein, in his twisted mind state, will say something. And YAY! Maka's mother!! =D
Asura comes back, finally!!! <3 but, Arachne doing a pact with the demon god? Not good :S but it would be so interesting~

I'm interested to see how Bones will finish the manga in their own way. I am not impressed about Asura's role in things. Kid stepping up his 'investigation' into his father is only a good thing in my mind; one, he hasn't gotten very far yet, two...it involves Stein. I'm hoping combining the two will be fun.
The suggested explanation about Maka's wavelength is pretty much what I'm expecting the manga to turn up with; it's special, and her mother had it too. I don't particularly like it, but there you go.
Overall, I'm in two minds about these summaries. Nice to see genuine diversion, but I'm not yet convinced they'll pull it off well. And I liked the FMA anime. *shrug* We'll see...
