The glitter totally reminds me of the Hello Kitty and Disney Princess monthly magazine/activity books that are sold in the kiddie section of the bookstore. The covers of those magazines are always covered in sparkly glitter. I gotta admit, though, that this is the first time I've seen sparkly glitter used on a seinen magazine. ;)
