It's not really Scanspam "Week" anymore, is it? Oh well. Have some Fate/Stay Night.

Saber sculpt by Toda Satoshi. Yeah. HOLY SHIT.
And, amazingly, she only costs less than US $60. Jaw, meet floor.

Check her out from the back, and from above. LOVE the hair and the leg armor:

She also comes with an anime-style face. Here are some images ripped from ami-ami:

In further figure news, here is... SABER LILY. Lulz. Saber Lily is the Saber who appears in Fate/Unlimited Codes. The limited edition of the game also comes with a Saber Lily Figma. FIGMA!!!
Here is Saber Lily's character design, and pics of the figure. The following images are all clickable for high-res versions:

Here is the regular Figma version of Saber, side-by-side with Saber Lily:

Saber Lily is taller because... she's... wearing... heels. (*headdesk*)
Oh well. Other than Unlimited Codes, the other, er, fighting game in the Fate franchise to be released this fall is Fate/Tiger Colosseum Upper. And it's not really "to be released" anymore since it was actually released two weeks ago. And I already have my copy.
Anyway, Upper is an updated version of the original Fate Tiger Colosseum, and since both are PSP games I guess you can't really call it a "port"... What's different about this version is that a bunch of new characters are added, including Irisviel, Kiritsugu, Avenger, and Kaleido Ruby. Also, all of the old character get new outfits.
The limited edition of the game comes with a gorgeous artbook that showcases all of the artwork for each character, and even shows some rough versions of the chibi animations. Here's Irisviel's page:

Do click for the high-res of that one, the chibi animations are really cute. Also, unfortunately, Irisviel only has one costume. But characters like Saber, Rin, and Sakura are up to four costumes each in Upper.
The artbook also comes with a dozen pages of color artwork used to promote the game. There are a lot of really awesome illustrations, including characters in yukata, at the beach, in bed together... wearing... fursuits... (*ahem*) Anyway, here's my personal favorite:

And finally, the best bonus of all. The limited edition of the game comes with a gorgeous tarot card deck, with each card illustrated by a different guest artist. DO click for high-res:

Yeah I know I scanned the relevant artbook pages instead of the cards themselves, but whatever, I'm lazy like that. Also, I love the artists' comments.

But these are gorgeous scans. Thanks for sharing!

I rather like Saber Lily and her costume. It's not quite as cool as her typical Servant attire (which is pretty hard to beat anyhow), but the design could have been a lot worst.
Thanks for sharing these scans!

You're not the only one. I've seen anime figurines for sale...all at super-high prices. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that New Zealand doesn't have such a big base of anime fans. That's why I have a nonexistent anime fandom collection - I mean, I like Ranma and all, but pay $30 for a set of four inch dolls? Yeah, I'm cheap. :)
Of course, I'm only describing my own preferences here. And there are certain things I may be willing to shell out US$60 for...*cough*Fighterplushie*cough*

(Anonymous) 2010-03-28 03:36 am (UTC)(link)But because I live in Oregon there's no market for it.
(also looks cheap made but I don't care!)

Also, hi! I think this might possibly be the most random anon comment I've ever gotten on a post.
