Sukui yo.

Accomplished today: the last of 1500+ hand-written kanji flashcards. JLPT, here I come. Five hours of fun fun fun, this Sunday Sunday Sunday! kill me now kill me now kill me now please please please kill me now

On Monday, I had the opportunity to watch The Prince of Egypt in Japanese. It was quite beautiful, of course. But, unfortunately, it is also The Prince of Egypt, which means ZOMG most earwormy soundtrack EVER. I've had every damn song from that movie running in my head non-stop for the past five days. NOTHING can get them out of my head. Not blasting my eardrums with every other movie/musical sountrack I have, not trying to melt my brain with kanji study, nothing. I keep hearing kiseki okoru/shinjireba~a~a~a in my freakin' dreams. And it just. won't. stop.

So like, I blinked, and must have missed this, but: Did Clarence Thomas seriously just pwn the entire country? Oh, my. That's officially the... second... thing he's ever done that I'm going to have to seriously fangirl him over. (The first was his scathing and utterly beautiful dissent in the Kelo decision.) And of course I'm usually a non-fan of Clarence Thomas.

Good luck- and just give yourself something fun Sunday night when you're done.

Yeah, there was going to be a citizenship challenge no matter who won the election. It's ridiculous. (There was going to be a claim that John McCain was a native-born citizen of Panama, not the United States)

All those people who would do this are just focusing on technicalities rather than the actual governing strengths and weaknesses of whoever the president-elect is. Unfortunately the use of red herrings and red tape against whoever you don't like is quite common.

I keep hearing kiseki okoru/shinjireba~a~a~a in my freakin' dreams.

Which song would that be? I can't recognize the Japanese lyrics... ^^;;

But yeah, totally agree about the soundtrack. It's awesomely bonus but it WON'T LEAVE YOU ALONE. Heehee, guess that's the sign of a good musical.

Hmm, "kiseki" means miracles, and "shinjireba" has something to do with believing. So I'd say it's the line "There can be mi-ra-cles........When you be-lieeeeeeve!"

(Nancy gets shoes and flowerpots thrown at her by Nenena's entire flist)

...I guess I'm not as good a singer as I thought. :D

I love that song, though. X3

You'll do great on your exam, I know it!

Eminent domain sucks. That's all I'm going to say.

Good luck with the exam, because I know you'll pass. Seriously, I doubt even I know 1500 kanji.

And I'm having the same trouble with the Inukami theme song. :)

You know approximately ten times as many kanji as I do, and even I can't remember all the shit I need to know for my final next week. Man, I fail. But you'll do fabulously, unlike me!

Do you want to know how earwormy it is? You just mentioned it... and now it's stuck in my head. Oy.

Good luck with the exam!

Happily, I do not remember any music from Prince of Egypt. I mean, awesome movie and all, but I'm okay with it not being stuck in my head. My Old Testament earworm of choice is reserved for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, though I pretty much eventually associate it with Mr. Carnes's 7th grade choir class, and... well, you know.

Haha I totally agree with ya. That soundtrack won't leave your head!! I want to watch it in Japanese! Lucky! I want to hear the lullaby 'Hush now my baby be still love don't cry....' Awww I want to watch it now!!! THANKS haha

Also--Much Luck on your Exam!! I am going to have to go through that in a couple years. 0.0

Actually, all of the songs from The Prince of Egypt in Japanese have been uploaded to Youtube. Just search for "prince of egypt japanese" and they'll show up.

I did that, and I hope Nenena doesn't mind me posting the link to one.
The Japanese singers are beautiful...although I haven't seen the movie. Yeah, bad me. :D

As for needing to get the song out of your head, I have only this to say:

"Hashire! Kousoku no, Teikoku Kagekidan! Unare shougeki no, Teikoku Kagekidannnnnnn!"....

(Runs away rapidly :D)
