This week's Tsubasa: Chapter whatever

I'll make this brief.

So FWR shows up in his little dimensional window-thingy behind Cloney. It's pretty much established at this point that even though FWR can't enter other dimensions, he can still stick his hands through the portal-thingy, which means that he can shishkabob mothers and barbeque little boys with magical fire missles, or whatever. So I guess he's supposed to be threatening, still, somehow? Maybe.

But basically, all he does here is taunt the heroes. For like, ten straight pages of dramatic, pointless, vaguely ominous speech.

And Cloney just stands there. Doing nothing.

Finally, however, Kurogane jumps in front of Syaoran, slashes his sword around, and shouts at FWR, "Dude. SHUT. UP." But then, of course, the chapter ends.

Next week: IT'S ON. I hope. Oh please please please please let it be on. I think I'll start screaming and throwing things if it turns out that FWR and Kurogane are going to just talk at each other for another ten pages.

I can't believe that their publisher is actually dignifying this stuff by actually releasing it. Oi; it needs to get to the juicy parts and end already WITH BLOOD. Unless Apapa forgot how to draw action scenes.

Your descriptions are making me wonder why you're still reading this series.

1. Trainwreck syndrome. Also morbid curiosity about how CLAMP is going to resolve things.

2. It IS a useful case study in how NOT to write a sweeping fantasy epic. Something which I am very interested in.

3. Admittedly, I still have serious emotional investment in Kurogane and Fay, and I do want to see how they end up.

4. The artwork is still the most sophisticated and beautiful being published on the Japan side of things right now, period.

Which is why I just read your summaries lol.

It frustrates me to NO END that the art is so gorgeous and the plot sucks SO MUCH. :\ I sold all my volumes and kept the artbook. XD
