I hate running up against people who think that because I choose to criticize one aspect of something, that means that I hate the whole thing and the author, too. (Whedon fans tend to be the worst of this lot.)

I mean, I love me some Alan Moore and Joss Whedon and all, and I am perfectly capable of enjoying their works while at the same time being aware of their flaws. And, you know, reading and listening to intelligent people pointing out these flaws doesn't "ruin" the whole thing for me, either.
