Dudes, I've read two-thousand-word essays devoted to explaining why Moore was totally deconstructing comic-book sexism through Laurie, and how he was actually making a totally feminist statement with her character, and... Y'know, I just ain't buying it. I ain't. Even if Moore was actually trying to make a feminist statement with Laurie, I think he failed miserably.

But I also enjoy Watchmen despite that :] I dunno why some ppl act like you can't be critical of stuff or aware of the prejudices in something and still enjoy it for other reasons :\
