Livejournal backup?

No Tsubasa this week. There will be a new chapter next week, but I'll be back in America for a short visit (yay!) and more likely than not won't have the time to read it. Just FYI.

So, now for something totally unrelated.... Flist, I come begging for advice. I need to backup my livejournal accounts, but I'm running into problems.

Previously I've been using Livejournal Backup, but it went FUBAR on me last month. Now for some reason it only backs up the first two entries of any given account, and it's refusing to archive comments. I can't figure out why it suddenly stopped working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. I made sure that I was working with the lastest release. But it still just. won't. work.

I've tried multiple times to install and use LJArchive, but I always get some sort of fatal error whenever I attempt to run the program.

So, can anybody recommend any other livejournal backup methods?

I use LJArchive :( What error specifically do you get? :\ Maybe there's a solution to it? :D

When I said "fatal error" I meant "blue screen of death." ^^;; So I don't actually know what error I'm getting. All I know is that every time I open the program, Windows dies.

I have been intending to noodle around with LJ Book for a while. I wrote about my questions about the program on my archives blog here (about halfway through the entry), but I haven't had time recently to really look at how the software preserves lj entries. Wanna mess around with it a bit and tell me how it works for you?

I really have no idea about Livejournal archiving whatsoever, but I hope you have a nice trip.

I'm pretty sure LJ Archive was the one I used and it worked fine. I was on Windows XP at the time. Maybe it is a Vista problem...if you are on Vista.

You might check one of those comms like leavingeljay or whatever it was called that got set up during strikethrough. It might have info on it about archiving programs.
