For those of you who have been following the news:

ARGH. This whole thing reeks of that particularly vile conservative trick of co-opting feminist language in order to have a good old-fashioned freakout at the scary, scary thought of women - or anybody - having sexuality oh noes.

Ratgirl is keeping track of the news coverage in this thread.

Personally, I feel sorry for anybody who is so sexually oppressed that they think that fishnet stockings are bondage paraphernalia. Um, no. Trust me. Just no.

(BTW, Pay-It-Forward fics are still coming long, I swear.)

That paper is kinda crackpotish. Then again, most British Papers are. I trust the Economist and sometimes the Guardian, but that's about it for British Papers. (Only source for British papers I have is Watching America though)

The Sun though is practically a tabloid. Nothing to worry about here.

I love how apparently when it was being talked about on Fox, they didn't mention that it was based on a superheroine or nething and that somebody said that they felt like "it's for drag queens" >:|
