The Scanspam Who Loved Me.
I am still in the midst of working on the Soul Eater Scanspam Post that Ate the World. Until that shizbit is ready to post, however, here's a selection of random scans that I've been hoarding on my hard drive. There's a mixture of Teh Pretty and Teh Brain-Breakage behind this cut.

Cover of Concept, the new Type Moon artbook devoted exclusively to the artwork that they have produced for Comiket. You guys, this book is effin' awesome. It's so awesome that I don't even have words to describe how awesome it is. Fortunately, most of the book has already been scanned and uploaded to animepaper.net, including the pages that reproduce all of the above characters in stand-alone poses: here, here, here, and here.

Shana drawn by Naru Nanao, and Aono (from Sola) drawn by Ito Noizi. This cardboard thingy is actual a display holder for two matching phonecards.

Shana alone, from the back of the same. I guess Aono just isn't cool enough to get her own solo picture, despite the fact that (in my humble opinion) Noizi's rendition of Aono is waaaaay technically superior to Nanao's Shana. But of the two, Shana is definitely the waaaaaay more awesome character, so there you go.

I don't really care about Ookiku Furikabutte, I only bought this one for the cover. But what a cover! It's even more striking if you cover up the right side with your hand, and only look at the left side - which is how the book appeared when it caught my eye on a display shelf. Unfortunately, the interior artwork isn't nearly as good. By Hearts Ease.

Another striking cover. Y'know, I could care less about all of this Touhou crap, but hawt damn isn't that a sweet cover? By KFC, one of the most unfortunately named doujinshi circles ever. And yes, the interior artwork is just as good as the cover is. By the way, that dark stuff on the cover is supposed to be a metallic ribbon and a shiny, metallic heart. Obviously the shininess did not survive the scanning process.

DOUJIN BOOK BY 萌少女領城!!! I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED ONE and now I have one YAY!!!! (I'm not sure how they romanize their name, maybe something along the lines of Megumi Shoujo Ryoushiro?) Either way I don't care! Finding this book on the bottom of the bargain shelf in the basement of the Ikebukuro Mandarake was like, the biggest score EVER.

Oh hey wow these pages didn't scan very well. Not very well at all. Oh well.

YES, THIS IS REAL. Yes, I has it. No, not a single one of the authors within had the guts or the creativity to address the *issue* of turtle sexual mechanics. Even in panels where Raphael and Leonardo were clearly boinking in very human-like positions, all of their naughty bits were whited out. I don't think this was so much censorship, as it was the artists just not knowing what turtle peens look like or how they work, and clearly being too busy fapping themselves to find out.
By the way, shoot me if I ever write another livejournal entry about turtle penises. Just shoot me.

No high-res, sorry.
I just can't get over how awesome this advertisement is. Talk about grabbing your attention and not letting go. (But argh, epic scanning bleedthrough is ARGH!)

No high-res, sorry.

No high-res, sorry.
And finally, we end with something unbelievably cute.
